"Burbujas" is Spanish for "bubbles" and for "snorkelling".
With assistance from PADI Foundation and Liceo Naval Galapagos, we provided
induction training to safe diving techniques and snorkelling for 140 young people
from San Cristobal.
This experience introduced the students to aspects of the underwater world which
they had never discovered before and played its part in encouraging safety-consciousness
in relation to the sea.

Many of these students' relatives and neighbours dive for a living and we hope
the knowledge of how to work and play safely underwater will benefit the whole
community.
